Michelle and Kevin had a beautiful wedding at Leeds Castle in Kent, and was a fabulous day to remember. Not least because Michelle unfortunately broke her leg just a couple of weeks before the big day. But with couples with such zest as these have the capacity to just get on with it and have a great day all the same.
Here are some of my favourites from the day.
Over a year after David and Chloe got married, in what was one of the most epic weddings I’ve been to in sunny California, we returned to the beautiful place of Santa Barbara to remember those good times. Santa Barbara is unsurprisingly now one of my favourite places on Earth.
As the pair reminisced over a quiet moment together, I snapped these.
Ceremony: Sutton Registry Office, Surrey
Mel and Tanya tied the knot after many years in a really sweet civil partnership where family and friends flew from as far as Australia to be there on their big day. Some even joined live via FaceTime and iPads, in what was a short ceremony before a huge reception the following day.
I really enjoyed their company and seeing them take their vowels. Here’s a few picks.
These two had such a beautiful wedding in the lovely French city of Strasbourg with a real twist. The ceremony took place in an old movie theatre, which they did because of their love of film and made for a really fitting occasion.
It was a pleasure to be a part of their day and enjoy it with them and their terrific friends and family.
I’m very proud and honoured to have shot Svein and Louise’s wedding at the fantastic Grim’s Dyke Hotel, who themselves and families are superb people. It was a wonderfully emotional occasion and will live in my memory forever.
Here are a few picks from the day.
Malte and Aurore are getting married early next year in France, and as massive movie buffs, they wanted to do something a bit different with their wedding invitations and created a postcard based on the film The Artist.
So we came up with this, which is a work in progress conceptual shot ahead of their final invitations actually being made and away from the norm for my usual work, so it was a lot of fun to shoot. They are a super pair and I’m so excited and thrilled to be shooting their big day next year.
Ceremony & Reception: Dreams Riviera Cancún, Mexico
Tracey and James tied the knot in glorious style with a wonderfully intimate wedding on a beach in Mexico! It was a real blast from start to finish and these two really know how to party.
I had a great time meeting new people, making new friends and experiencing a destination wedding first hand, what with all that glorious sun and sand.
Here are a few of my favourites from the day:
It’s not every day that you get the opportunity to shoot a candlelit wedding – or one that’s in an outdoor Glass House – which are tough gigs. But they make for such interesting occasions, both on a technical and artistic level, because the lack of available light generates a beautiful and unique ambience.
Miguel and Tamara were great to work with and held their special occasion over the course of two days! We had a lovely cosy and intimate ceremony up in Kent and a jam packed reception in Hemel Hempstead.
Here are some of my favourites from the days:
I had shot at The Lady of the Visitation in Greenford before, it’s a unique church with such an interesting interior design and I was back there earlier this month.
Jodie and Lee, as well as their family and friends, were just fantastic and great company on the day. It was a beautiful wedding that was full of incredible emotion and such a wonderful and warm occasion that was really fitting to the couple – it was certainly very special for me and I feel privileged they allowed me to shoot it for them.
